1. I contacted the treadmilldoctor and found out that to replace the belt on the treadmill would be $90. J and I decided we would rather fix it than pay for a brand spanking new one. We could have borrowed my parents but my dad is planning on using it soon and I dont want to keep him from doing that. Maybe he'll do a 5k this summer.... (good idea isn't it dad?)
2. I have been thinking about how I want to train for my next half. I start next week so I really need to figure it out. I am still going to do the Jeff Galloway run/walk method. Instead of doing 2 min run/1 min walk like I did for the last one, I am thinking about bumping it up to 4 min. run/1 min walk. I think this would greatly improve my time if I could maintain the same pace running for 4 minutes that I did for 2 minutes.
3. Tax time is coming up and that makes me wonder, can we count race fees that go toward a charity? The reason I ask is bc a race that we did in November mailed us a slip to turn in with our taxes that we had donated to that charity by paying for the race. So that got me thinking... What does everyone else do? do you count it all, some of it, or none of it?
If I get charity donation forms, I do turn them into my accountant for our taxes. Every little bit helps in my mind! :0)
ReplyDeleteWow, I never even considered race fees as charity. I will have to look into that now also, especially since my next race is a charity run.
